INDIEVOTION’S PICK FOR BEST POST-PUNK ALBUMS 2018

It would be unfair not to acknowledge that last year was another pretty good harvest for Post-Punk genre whether we take it more or less orthodox. There was an amazing number of album releases from all over the world that reinforce the idea that the Post-Punk did not lose any of its appeal, but it keeps pumping madly like in the late 70s or early 80s.

In spite of the fore mentioned and though it may still be intriguing to some, 2018 proved that the resilience of Post-Punk seems untouchable. Last year has brought to light a set of refined, exquisite, releases that managed to essay a reinvention, re-imagination, rejuvenation of Post-Punk.

Some critics prefer to say that there we’re going through a Post-Punk revival. The question here is that you try to revive what was once dead and that certainly does not apply to Post–Punk considering that though times have changed, the cultural basis attached to the genre was never dissolved up to the point of oblivion and that helps to understand why it goes across generations.
