Where The Time Goes: The Morelings - Same Century (2017)

We've been thinking for quite some time on the pros and cons of having a regular feature about a collection of albums released in recent years and that decidedly worth to be enthusiastically listened again and again.

Such a feature is not supposed to be a mere exercise of nostalgia. In fact, it is not nostalgic at all but just an occasion to celebrate music that keep the same mesmerizing qualities, that still gives goosebumps and that in a way or another maintains intact its intrinsic beauty immune to the erosion of time.

To begin this INDIEVOTION new weekly feature the choice goes to one of the very best albums of 2017, released a year ago on this date, the irresistibly bewitching, cinematic, dream pop melancholia of “Same Century” masterfully crafted by The Morelings an album that if it had been released in the current year it would maintain for sure and without much effort its status of excellence among the very best of 2018.
