The Rich Hands: Noisy Soulful Texan Groove

The Rich Hands are a San Antonio power-punk trio composed by drummer Nick Ivarra, guitarist and singer Cody Mauser and bassist Matt Gonzalez. They have already a couple of brilliant releases from which we highlight their debut album “Dreamers” (2013); their “Girl EP, Demos, Singles, and Live Songs” (2014) and their excellent sophomore album “Out of My Head” (2014) co-released by Burger Records and Fountain Records.

The Rich Hands sonic whirl seems indebted to the classic three chord sequence with guitar licks and nicely crafetd tempo changes and a steady powerful rhythm section storming out raw, driven, loud anthemic soulful rock. The band looks like pretty devotional to a sonic imagery leading to both Marc Bolan guitar artistry and The Ramones pop punk style although they sometimes make us recall The Dream Syndicate's album The Days of Wine and Roses.
